A family-first approach

About_Banner.jpg

What started in 1984 as a father and son bricklaying team has evolved into the next generation of a father and daughter building company.

With a family-first approach by a family-run company, we understand that a home is where memories are made and believe there is nothing more important than family.

That’s why our builds and renovations are designed for living. Every home is strategically created to cater to your family’s unique dynamics, needs, taste, and personality.

 “Nothing was too hard.”

“Throughout the process, we were kept informed of what was happening and what was planned. The standard of workmanship was excellent and if we made changes, nothing was too hard. Thank you — a job well done!”

I want every client experience to be positive, meaningful, and suited to their individual needs. That’s why I’ve been intentional in creating a building process that’s more of a personal journey, unique and exciting for every client. By working alongside clients, onsite, offsite, and with transparent communication, I can ensure they’re confident in the process, tradesmen, and craftsmanship.

With 35 years’ experience and knowledge, and a genuine passion for building, I treat every home as if it were my own. I also believe in giving back to the industry. Over the years, I’ve been involved in a number of professional committees and have been awarded The Most Professional Big Builder Trainer seven years in a row, by the HIA.

  • 2017 – Today: HIA Technical Committee.

  • 2012 – 2016: Vice Chair HIA Technical Committee.

  • 2009 – 2011: CTF Construction Training Fund working group.

  • 2009 – 2011: Trades North Industry of Partner’s Industry Committee (TAFE).

  • 2008 – 2011: HIA Training and Professional Development Committee.

  • 2008 – 2009: MBA Professional Housing Judge.

  • 2007 – 2017: HIA Professional Housing Judge.

In developing my career in the building industry, I was the first person to experience the new vocational training program — a paraprofessional pathway in the building industry. This gave me the opportunity to expand my skills, knowledge, and study aspects of the building process. With a knack for organisation and project management, I became a Senior Scheduler and Estimator for one of Perth’s biggest builders, overseeing a team in my field.

My vision is to continue developing Building 51 so our clients always have beautiful homes at the forefront of innovation, as well as a personable building experience. Building has always been a big part of our family and my life, and I’m excited that we can put the “family” back into building.

Our tradesmen

We believe innovation and professionalism are essential for smooth project delivery and premium quality work. We work with the best people to achieve this. Our tradesmen are not only selected for their second-to-none skillsets, but personal values and characters. At Building 51, all our staff are respectful of you, your family, and your home.

It starts with a handshake.

We’d love to be a part of your next build or renovation. To discover what a partnership with Building 51 could look like, contact Gary for an obligation-free chat.
